Dependency

Dependency is the relationship between two work. LigaAI supports the following type of Dependencies.

• Common: Used to give more context to the work.
• Duplicates: Used to mark duplicate works
• Blocking / Blocked by: If A is blocking B, then B is blocked by A. It can be used to mark the Finish to Start work.
• Parent/Child: Break the work into sub-work and link them as parent-child dependencies.
• Causes/Caused By: Can be used to mark the common occurrence of event B caused by event A. For example, adopted user feedback and a requirement can be marked as causes/caused by dependencies.

Link work

To add dependencies to the work:

1. Find the Linked Work field on work details pane and Click the + Link Work button.
2. Choose the dependency relationship.
3. Use the search bar or filter to find the items that you want to link to the work.
4. Select one or multiple work that link to this work.

It can also be used to automate process management across projects by linking works that are related to each other through automation.

You can automate the processes cross projects by linking your work together.

Create Linked Works

You can create work directly on the work details pane and mark the work as dependent on without switching among pages.

To create linked work directily:

1. Find the Linked Work field on work details pane and  Click the + Link Work button.
2. Choose the dependency relationship.
3. Enter a summary of the new work and press enter.
4. If you want to create multiple work in bulk, write multiple summaries and use enter to seperate.
5. Select a project the new work belongs to, and the work type.
