Import Subtasks

You can import subtasks for each work item, restore complete work data previously stored in other tools, and migrate data smoothly.

Prepare data

1. Export the work items data containing subtasks in the form of a table (.xls, .xlsx) from the other tool.
2. Insert column: ID, Parent ID, and Work Type in the table.
3. The dependency between parent work and its subtasks is marked by the ID and parent ID. Only one tier of subtasks is supported. Only one tier of subtasks is supported.
4. Mark the record in the subtask with the work type: Subtask.

Subtasks are imported into LigaAI as Subtask Fields of the parent work without generating a separate work card.

Note:
- ID and Parent ID are used to mark parent work-subtask dependencies. After importing items into LigaAI, a new work ID will be generated automatically.
- ID represents independent work and cannot be duplicated.
- Parent ID marks the work to which the subtask belongs. Multiple subtasks can be imported into a work item.
